Welcome to the official Website of Judas Iscariot, The Church Cantata. Composed by Paul Pilott set to words of a poem written by Rev Professor Philip Barker based upon 'The Ballad of Judas Iscariot' by the nineteenth century poet Robert Buchanan. The Cantata was composed to commemorate the Centenary celebrations of St. Mary's Church, Alverstoke, Gosport. The poem depicts the imagined after life journey of Judas Iscariot's soul, towards a conclusion of true repentance, reconciliation and forgiveness.
